The One World Coffeehouse opened in 1999 as a volunteer-run outreach program of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Columbia to present an array of multicultural musical talent to the greater community, and to exemplify our first UU principle: the inherent worth and dignity of every person. ALL proceeds not paid to our talented performers aid those in need through our Minister’s Discretionary Fund. Snacks, sodas & baked goods are available for a donation. You may bring your own fare and beer or wine. An attached glass-fronted room with adjustable speakers permits young active audience members to enjoy the show. Our concerts are in the acoustically magnificent Sanctuary C on the second floor of the Owen Brown Interfaith Center. This space was designed for music and can seat up to 200 in table seating and 350 in theater seating. Most concerts are on the 3rd Saturdays of the month and start at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30, so come early, grab a table, and pour a glass for your and your friends!
